Local journalism is the public face for dialogue.

Grateful for the ad support of local donors through Covid-19, we dedicated a full page of thanks published in the paper.

Curious to hear from the local community about their interest in the paper, we sponsored ads publishing community feedback in response to a survey sent by Tri-Corner News, parent company of The Lakeville Journal and The Millerton News.

Plantin’ Seeds sponsored and published an excerpt from the book Ghosting the News - Local Journalism and the Crisis of American Democracy by Margaret Sullivan in an insert for local newspapers.

Farms, farmers markets and food banks function interdependently in the NW Corner of CT to support one another and the community they serve. Plantin’ Seeds placed ads in local newspapers - The Lakeville Journal and The Millerton News - to map local farms and markets in the area.

Plantin’ Seeds, organically and metaphorically grew up with NW Corner Farmers, from our inception. They are our friends, teachers, and “ambassadors of the soil”. Their individual pages, featuring them (!) can be found on our FARMS page. We were delighted to feature them in our local newspapers, The Lakeville Journal and The Millerton News.

The frenetic growth of the importance of our local food banks has been met with our community’s generous support, even as that need continues to explode. We were delighted to include five of them in our Blueberry Project, and to feature them in our local papers.
